![]() My Weber Yellowstone OM has a serial on the label of 203208 and a Bruce signature. I don,t know when Webber started this system, but it looks like there could be ambiguity, and specially for older instruments. My serial number is 83xxx01 which translates to January 2008. I pretty much assumed that the 15 prefix was the year, but didnt know how to interpret the rest. The serial s on my Lebeda Ellis all have the date (or part of it) as part of the serial,so why dont Weber do this, or put that actual date on the label as its being signed, Ivan. Ive had it since 2007,but its actual manufacture date,i dont know. So the serial number scheme mentioned in another thread is still working even though the number of digits in the serial numbers has increased. Tokai Decoder Serial Numbers Has Increased Just after I hit Post, I thought Dummy, why not just call Weber Looked them up and called. If it helps, the Brekke bridge is the traditional style without wedges and allowing use of a mini crescent wrench for adjustment. Is there any way to get a better fix on the date of manufacture I would believe the 2008 except for that warrantee stub, but that could have been left blank by the original owner and only filled in much later. The label inside shows the same serial number and it is a Logan MT label with Bruces signature.Īccording to the only numbering scheme explanation I have seen that serial number is either from January 1983 or January 2008.
